Job Summary:

As a Night Auditor, you'll take on a variety of responsibilities, from reconciling the day's transactions to addressing late-night guest inquiries. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests feel welcome and supported throughout the night. While you're managing important tasks like cash reconciliation for our restaurant, you're not just balancing the books, you're creating peace of mind for both guests and the team. Your role is essential in ensuring accurate records and a smooth transition for the morning staff.

In addition to the auditing duties, you’ll also handle light cleaning tasks, perform security checks, and contribute to the overall safety and comfort of our guests. If you enjoy multitasking, staying organized, and thrive in a calm, structured environment, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Nightly Transactions: Ensure all transactions for the day are accurately recorded, including guest folios and restaurant charges.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Perform cash reconciliation for the restaurant, balancing cash transactions, verifying receipts, and ensuring deposits match daily sales totals.
  • Guest Support: Address late-night guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, providing excellent guest service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maintain Financial Accuracy: Reconcile restaurant point-of-sale (POS) reports with cash and payment method transactions.
  • Prepare Daily Reports: Generate audit reports to summarize overnight financial activity and ensure a smooth transition for the morning staff.
  • Handle End-of-Day Procedures: Perform closing procedures for both hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records and preparing for the next day.
  • Security Checks: Perform regular security checks throughout the property to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
  • Light Cleaning Duties: Assist with light cleaning tasks in public areas and back-of-house spaces to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain Guest Services Areas: Monitor and maintain guest services areas, ensuring that water stations, snack bar, and other guest amenities are clean, fully stocked, and operational.
  • Coordinate with Morning Staff: Ensure all relevant information is passed along to the morning team, including any discrepancies or special guest needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college or relevant experience preferred).
  • Previous experience in hotel or restaurant operations, night auditing, or customer service is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a calm, structured environment.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash handling.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to assist guests with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities without supervision.
  • Must be able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
